Job role: The primary responsibility of an Emerald Solutions Group (ESG) Close Protection Officer (CPO) is assessing security threats and providing the necessary security measures to protect our clients.
Irrespective of the many niche areas of security, Close Protection Officer (CPO’s) can commonly be defined by the single most important requirement expected of them in their professional capacity; to provide physical protection to a principal, shielding them from any potential harm and to quickly get them to safety.
Providing security services to our clients is almost always a 24/7 job. The task profile calls for a significant amount of traveling. Irregular hours are also not unusual.
CPOs must always be able to remain vigilant and aware of their surroundings . Your role may require you to spend several uneventful hours guarding a location or watching our client. A successful CPO must always be ready to step in if required, when needed whatever the situation.
Minimum 5 years Close Protection experience is an advantage
Level 3 First Aid or higher is desirable
Advanced defensive and evasive driving qualification is an advantage
Close Protection qualification from an accredited SASSETA training facility
Valid driver’s license
No criminal record or bad credit history
High level of fitness
